Where The Wild Things Are Party

Where The Wild Things Are Party

Hi guys!!  I’m sharing a 2nd birthday party based on the book Where The Wild Things Are.  I hope you have all been enjoying the new content, I’m going to try and remain extremely consistent with what and when I post so can get the full scope of what I do and how I do it.  I’m still going through last years parties but at this rate I’ll be done sharing those and can catch up to this years events by summer.  I styled this one for a sweet little boy that was a little on the wild side lol, I’m sure you’ve all come in content with a 2 year old that would fit this description….I know I have!  The book is iconic and as many parties as I’ve seen in the theme, I’m happy that I still had my own voice to lend to this.  I wanted to see more color because the book itself is very dark which makes sense but adding just some pops of red here and there gave me the look I was going for overall.  I also dialed up the yellow in the theme too so by the end everything just looked bright and cheery and less dark and scary.

Honestly, of all the decor elements I had for this party it was truly these little plates that made my heart pitter patter.  I never really use paper plates for parties but it felt natural to use them for this one since it was a more relaxed boys theme that was being held outdoors.  The character cutout placemats where customized with calligraphy in turquoise by Minted Feather.

Each chair was adorned with a little Max crown and each character had a paper banner attached with my own handy handwriting 🙂

The adorable cake and cupcakes were from Hudson Cakery and the cake pops with crowns were from Lil Cutie Pops.
