Ballerina Themed Birthday Party

Ballerina Themed Birthday Party

I planned a gorgeous ballerina themed birthday party last year and it was absolutely a labor of love.  It was a repeat client of mine, whom I plan several events a year for.  Every party for her I try to make more special than the one before.  This one was for the 4th birthday of her 2nd daughter and it was just so magical.  This was really the first event where I wanted to go above and beyond with florals and for that I called none other than Tara of Barbara’s Flowers.  Her flower designs are so closely aligned with my aesthetic and also just so imaginative, the composition of her designs are amazing.  I called her up and we created pure magic together.  I hope you enjoy!!

I say all the time that the kids seating table is my favorite to design.  Of all of my designs thus far, I can honestly say that this one was my absolute favorite.  I’m always walking the line of what’s appropriate for a kids party and what’s not.  Flowers is one of those things that is mature, you definitely think “adult” when you think of fresh flowers.  However, I didn’t let myself shy away from them because of that reason and I’m glad I didn’t.  The scale is perfect and there’s so many flowers that you can see it was done with intention, that it was part of the theme.  I used the banner scrolls across each centerpiece and broke it up with paper decor, ballerinas on the chairs and the tiniest little candelabras.  I couldn’t have loved the outcome any more.

Also, there was a live ballet show with real ballerinas, flower crown making, and at the end the ice cream truck arrived…an event perfect for kids and adults alike.
